easily adaptable - subframes

Sub-frames provide the critical connection between a hooklift hoist and the container fleet. A sub-frame that is not properly designed and manufactured can affect the overall performance of the hooklift system.

How can SwapLoader factory sub-frames improve the performance of your SwapLoader hoist system?

Most outside fabricators only estimate the material and strength necessary to properly carry the container load on and off of the hoist. In contrast, each of our standard twenty-eight SwapLoader sub-frames have been engineered and manufactured
to the same level of quality as our seventeen hooklift hoists, enabling us to offer the same 36 month limited warranty on our sub-frames as we do on our hoists.

We offer 100, 200 and 400 series sub-frames specifically designed for the typical 36", 54", and 62" hook heights, respectively. The 100 series is rated for a minimum capacity of 14,000 lbs., the 200 series is rated for a minimum capacity of 24,000 lbs., and the 400 series for a minimum of 40,000 lbs.

The size and positioning of the sub-frame lift bar is engineered to provide proper interaction between the hoist jib hook and the a-frame with clearance
tolerances. Too little clearance between the jib hook and a-frame can lead to binding, while too much may allow excessive container shift during tranport. Another feature of SwapLoader sub-frames is the wrap around hook guard that encloses the back and sides of the jib hook. This design eliminates the need for spring loaded hook latches.

The SwapLoader sub-frame lift bar design also allows the operator to pick containers that are up to 30 degrees off-center for a total of 60 degrees of
initial hook engagement range.

The length and position of the latch plate located on the sides of the longsills is designed to optimize SwapLoader's slide through body lock design. This allows for greater flexibility in positioning the
container on the hoist for weight distribution purposes, while staying engaged in the body locks.

Only SwapLoader sub-frames ensure the integrity, strength, safety, and proper operation of your SwapLoader hoist. We guarantee it for a full three years. Do not compromise the superior design and operation of your SwapLoader hoist.
